Carolyn ‘Cary’ Skelton grew up in Independence and Warrensburg Missouri. She completed two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Missouri in Nutrition and Fitness and Clinical Dietetics and a Master of Science degree in Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Central Missouri. Cary’s career in prevention started in 1998. She enjoys walking beside her clients, meeting them where they are in their health journey and setting personal health goals to reduce risk of chronic disease. Cary enjoys training and exercising with her two pups, Henry and Sunny and training for life! She is often outdoors on long walks or hikes, working in the garden, growing and harvesting fresh produce or relaxing near or on the water. Cary believes her kitchen and garden are where she is most creative, fixing delicious, healthy recipes and learning about permaculture design. She served in the United States Naval Reserves, Medical Service Corps as a Registered Dietitian. Cary was honored to serve her country and would do it again in a heartbeat!
